Who can participate in the contest?
Open to all, we encourage submissions from:
- Photographers of all skill levels, including professionals, amateurs, and hobbyists.
- Members of the movement disorder community, including patients, their families and caregivers, doctors, nurses, researchers, and anyone else whose life has been touched by these conditions.
What are the submission guidelines?
Each participant may submit one or more photographic projects, with each project containing 3 to 8 photographs and a descriptive textthat explains the concept and its connection to the contest theme.
How are winners selected?
The images will be evaluated by an international jury of renowned professional photographers (Edoardo AGRESTI, Lynn JOHNSON, Vladimir MARCANO), whose decisions will be final and unappealable.
Is there an entry fee?
ENTRY IS FREE. NO SUBMISSION FEES REQUIRED.

Our International Jury
Edoardo AGRESTI
An Italian photographer (b. 1969) specializing in authentic reportage photography across travel, weddings, and documentary projects. A lifelong learner, his style is influenced by masters such as Steve McCurry and Paolo Pellegrin. Over his career, he has earned numerous awards, including top prizes in the UK “Black and White Spider” Awards, National Geographic contests, and the International Photography Awards. He was elected “Photographer of the Year”by the ANFM three times and recognized by Junebug as one of the 50 best wedding photographers worldwide. A member of the National Geographic Expedition team since 2019, he shares his expertise as a speaker at international conventions..
Lynn JOHNSON
An American photographer (b. 1953) portraying the human condition. Johnson has worked for LIFE and Sports Illustrated and published 40 feature stories in National Geographic Magazine and is a National Geographic Society Explorer. She is the recipient of numerous awards and grants including the Robert F. Kennedy Award, the Chris Hondros Fund, and has been a Pulitzer finalist on two occasions. More importantly, on occasion, there is an opportunity to teach, the work of both art and life—based on the belief that the power of photographs can change everything from minds to the course of history.
Vladimir MARCANO
A Venezuelan documentary photographer (b. 1971) with over 25 years of experience dedicated to social issues. He published “El Mal” a photography book where he captured the ravages of Huntington’s disease in Barranquitas, a Venezuelan fishing village on the shores of Lake Maracaibo, with a major prevalence of HD, marked by alarming poverty.
Marcano’s work has been published in major international outlets like The Guardian UK, El Mundo de España, and Bloomberg News. His photographs have also been featured in numerous exhibitions worldwide.
