OUR NAME
“That disorder”
was the name given to a condition that has long existed, but was formally recognized and defined as an illness by Dr. George Huntington, an American physician, in the late 19th century. In earlier centuries, this “disorder” was often linked with witchcraft and mental health issues. Individuals displaying symptoms were often deemed possessed, heretics, insane, alcoholics, people to be distanced from, to be afraid of.
“Global Human Community” refers to the intention to connect everyone in the world affected by HD. We aim to make everyone feel like they belong to one big, supportive family.

OUR MISSION
We believe that art is a powerful tool to raise awareness and promote social changes. Our mission is to increase understanding and fight the stigma on HD through artistic, cultural and educational projects.

OUR VISION
Empathy is at the heart of our values.
We engage closely with those impacted (patients, caregivers, individuals at risk and others around them), to listen, understand and share their stories, experiences and emotions.
Our aim is to overcome the stigma and unease that still too often accompany those affected by the disease.
